Stripped of wide environmental context, the composition isolates the vibrant iron-rich oxidised zones against sweeping drifts of dark basaltic ash. The intimate framing reveals the intricate erosion lines and mineral deposits left by extreme thermodynamic activity, offering a microscopic look at the volatile baselines that precede ecological colonisation.
